Visit at Sunbula

Sunbula is a not-for-profit fair trade organization committed to promoting social justice and economic empowerment for the marginalized in Palestine. It supports local artisans and protects the cultural heritage of traditional Palestinian handicrafts by helping the artisans access to raw materials, providing them with ongoing support in product development, securing tools and equipment, and providing market access. The organization has two fair trade stores in Jerusalem and the online shop (www.sunbula.com) that are the economic lifeline for hundreds of artisans and their families. A TIP: Sunbula also organizes visits to the embroidery and wool felting workshops in Idhna (south of Hebron) and Bethlehem, which could be incorporated in a program of any group visiting Palestine.
